Ok well it has been a while since our last discussion and i figured i was the third applicant, ill start a new one :)

how should parents disipline children? should smacking be allowed?

Just copied this from my application form as i also figured we were all discussing our original ideas :)

I think smacking should be allowed, but only in small amounts and only when absolutely needed.

I think this is a really tricky question because it really depends on the child as well. Some kids might only respond to smacking, some to be spoken to a certain way and what not..

Yeah i was talking bout this with my family, like i remembr being smacked when i was little, just like on my hand or bum when i was really naughty, at the time yeah i stopped doing whatever i was doing, but now i look back and laugh at how silly i was! it never affected me or anything, so in that sense it did well.
But then you have parents that obviously have the wrong idea of whats accetable and whats not and just go way to far, resulting in the child probably becoming a more angry, violent person when they are older than what the probably would have become without smacking involved, so in that sense it should be banned.
I guess to prevent these cases of really bad smacking it should be made illegal, but there should be more advice given or more tactics on how to discipline children cos if there is no punishment then kids will end up just getting away with everything and thats how theyll live when they are older!! god it is such a tricky question, im just glad im not the one who has to decide what to do
